Una giovane ragazza, metà americana e metà italiana, Vanessa a 20 anni ha appena terminato gli studi alla University College London (UCL) in Storia e Russo nel dipartimento School of Slavonic and East European Studies. Trasferitasi a Londra all’età di 17 anni, dopo aver completato il bilingual International Baccalaureate al Marymount International School Rome, Vanessa si è dedicata non soltanto allo studio ma anche al teatro. Al Bloomsbury Theatre a Londra ha recitato in una tragedia russa di Venedikt Erofeev, dal nome "The Steps of the Commissar, ” mentre a Roma ha partecipato a varie produzioni in inglese nel teatro della Marymount sotto la regia di Douglas Dean. Alcuni dei suoi ruoli preferiti sono stati Nurse Ratched in "Qualcuno Volò Sul Nido del Cucolo" e Andromaca in “Le Troiane,” di Euripide. Fra Ottobre e Luglio, Vanessa completerà il suo Master in Economia e Russo alla University of Cambridge oppure Oxford, per poi tornare a Roma e dedicarsi alla sua vera passione: il cinema. |
| BIOGRAPHY: |
A dual American and Italian citizen, Vanessa is a 20-year old, who has just completed her undergraduate degree at University College London in History and Russian from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies. She came to London when she was only 17 after having completed her bilingual International Baccalaureate diploma from Marymount International School in Rome. During her stay in London, she made it a point to focus both on her studies as well as on her acting career. In this connection, she was involved in a Russian play by Venedikt Erofeev in the Bloomsbury Theatre, entitled “The Steps of the Comissar.” Moreover, when she was in Rome, Vanessa took part in various productions at the Marymount Theatre, under the auspices of Mr. Douglas Dean. Her favourite parts included playing Nurse Ratched in “One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and Andromache in “Women of Troy.” Between October and July, Vanessa will complete her Master’s in Economics with Russian either at the University of Cambridge or Oxford, to then return to Rome and focus most of her energies on an acting career. |
